Tauscher Transformatorenfabrik GmbH is now offering its
customers PC-based optimisation and simulation of HF transformers rated up to 250 MHz.
The optimization and simulation in software meets EN 61558-2-17
standards. The new service makes it possible for us to simulate transformer functions on a computer prior to actual prototyping. Using calculated data – including
operating temperature, electrical data under load and mechanical data – it is possible to determine the behavior to inductive components and adapt this behavior to the
application and hand. In this way, Tauscher is able to offer customers design alternatives during the quotation phase of a project.
All necessary overload tests as required by EN 61558-1 §13, §14 and §15 are integrated in
the simulation process and are calculated and accounted for during every computational run. Tauscher`s optimization and simulation software also supports choke design. The
company optimizes and dimensions ripple filter chokes, commutating chokes, LC filter chokes, motor filter chokes, current compensation chokes, absorption inductors, zero
current ripple chokes, rejection chokes and flow chokes.
