Fields of application


Smoothing choke, storage choke, filter choke, RFI chokes, current- rise limiting chokes. Used in photovoltaic systems, railway technology, technology of electrical drives and in battery chargers.


Description


One or two winding chokes with pot core, made of pressed soft magnetic powder material. It is suitable for net frequency (50/60 Hz) with overlaid ripple (harmonics of 2 kHz up to 40 kHz). Low noise and free of magnetostriction.
Low magnetic losses at medium and high frequencies. The high grade powder material make a higher induction than with ferrite cores. Due to the encapsulated pot core the outer strayfield is very small. The hum-noise is also reduced by the pressed powder core.
The dimension is determined by the energy E = 0,5 x L x I². With forced cooling, less dimensions are possible. If there is only a bit of overheating possible, the dimensions will increase.
For mounting we recommend the use of a stainless steel screw.
